Our collaborative management structure and single sport focus ensures that kids will learn more about the game and sportsmanship, while their parents enjoy better communication and planning.

October 20, 2008 SWSA announces Spring 2009 Registration SWSA will conduct open registration for our Spring 2009 Season. Space may be limited, so register early. Spring 2009 Registration will be conducted on:
Saturday - February 7th&14th 10:00AM to 1:00PM
at Praire Township Fire House (Corner of Inah and Palmetto)
All youth are drafted to new teams based on age, gender, known skills and years of experience. Youth should register as an individual not as a team or group of players. Special requests will only be accepted in extreme circumstances. Total registration fee will be reduced by $30 for youth using their existing uniforms (yellow&white jersey, shorts and socks).
October 9, 2008 Indoor soccer sign ups will be at the concession trailer for interested candidates. Please refer to Tom Ross with any questions or comments.

SWSA Program Changes SWSA would like to announce the following changes to our program that have been adopted by the Board of Directors effective immediately.
1. Age groups have been modified. Registration is available for all youth between the ages of 3 and 14 as defined on August 1, 2008. 2. Parent / Guardian must provide Birth Certificate if requested by member of the Board. 3. Playing time will be equal for all participants in all divisions, however, no participant shall have more than 75% playing time. 4. Parent sidelines will be marked to allow for adequate playing space around the sidelines. 5. A full draft will be conducted each season (Fall and Spring) for all participants and team assignments. 6. U04 and U06 divisions will not rotate field direction during the game. U08 and higher will rotate field direction at half time of the game. 7. Board member will meet with parents from each team during the first week of practice to review policies and expectations. 8. All teams will be assigned a 75 minute shift in the concession trailer. The concession trailer will be closed if assigned volunteers are not present. 9. Program fees increased $10.00 per youth to a total of $50.00 as a result of additional fees outlined in the budget. Budget is available for viewing by visiting the Board section of the site. 10. Concession will be closed if assigned team parents are not present.
SWSA is looking for Volunteers
Are you able to assist the association by coaching, being a referee, performing field maintenance, administrative tasks or field set-up / tear-down? The organization is managed by parent volunteers like you. Please send email to info@southwestsoccer.org if you are willing to assist.
SWSA Referee License
SWSA has space open for any one interested in obtaining a referee's licence. Space is limited so all interested parties please contact Bill Rains at referees@southwestsoccer.org. Classes will be held next month.
Weather Cancellations: SWSA will adhere to weather guidelines as defined by Ohio South Youth Soccer Association. Soccer is played in a variety of weather conditions. Parents are encouraged to dress youth appropriately based upon current weather conditions. SWSA will make every effort to update our hotline, web site and contact coaches regarding any decisions to cancel games due to inclement weather. Coaches are responsible for making individual decisions regarding cancellation of practices. Parents are encouraged to check the web site or contact the hotline to obtain the most recent decisions regarding field conditions and game cancellation.
